Visit to Eyemouth

We will go to Gunsgreen House, a recently restored John Adam mansion now serving as a museum of smuggling.  Derek Janes, the curator, will show us round and we will have the opportunity to see the private upper rooms, which are holiday apartments.  We shall look round the small town of Eyemouth, with its two local museums.  In the afternoon we shall visit Britain’s largest elliptical walled garden, with thanks to Colonel Simon Furness, and have tea in the garden of an arts & crafts house with thanks to Patrick and Henrietta Simpson.

Meet at 10am in Rutland Square.  Bring a picnic lunch.

Cost £22
