A Speculative Look at the Regeneration of the Clyde: The Glasgow Showcase?
The decline of the Clyde as a working river has created an opportunity for what has been called a 'showcase for Glasgow'. A large new City district is unfolding along the river. Most members will have heard of the Harbour development, so it seems a good place to start.
Cost includes Bus and Afternoon Tea - £17.50
A minibus will connect us with vantage points from which we will walk to explore the future. Bus leaves from North Frederick St at 12.45pm.
There will be time for tea/coffee at the B-listed Pumphouse Museum beside the Glenlee.
Numbers for the minibus will be limited to 26.
