Strathclyde Group AGM and Hamilton Visit
Join us for the AGM and a walk to see some interesting buildings in the area.
Venue: Hamilton Bowling Club, Strathmore Road, Hamilton.
Time: 10.00
Cost: No charge for admission to the AGM, however to cover lunch costs and other visits it will cost £13.00 (£10.00 for under 18s accompanied by an adult).
The AGM will be held in Hamilton Bowling Club an oasis of tranquility, adjacent to the Old Parish Church.
Refreshments will be provided at 10am followed by the AGM at 10.30am. Then there will be a visit to the Old Parish Church, an A-listed building by renowed architect William Adam, dating from 1734 it is the only church he ever desinged.
The visit to the church will be followed by lunch at the Hamiliton Bowling Club. We will then go on a short walk along Cadzow Street which has an array of stylistically diverse buildings. Ending up at St. Mary’s Episocopal Church, designed by John Henderson.
