Publications

The Society produces both a journal and twice yearly magazine for its members.

The AHSS Magazine provides a regular account of society and group events, casework reports, reviews and features.  It also includes updates from other voluntary sector heritage bodies.

The Journal, Architectural Heritage, is a volume of architectural history and conservation articles, essays, and other writings, often relevant to the recent activities of the Society.

Papers from the 2008 AHSS National Conference, "Scotland's Castle Culture" have been brought together in a book, published by Birlinn.  The Society acknowledges the generous support of Historic Scotland, RCAHMS, The Strathmartine Trust and The Russell Trust.  The book would not have been possible without the time and effort of the three editors: Audrey Dakin, Miles Glendinning and Aonghus Mackechnie.
