Our AGM will, as always, give members an opportunity to ask questions of the Council, review the annual accounts and consider nominations for Trustees. If you are interested in joining the AHSS Council and helping to shape the Society, please get in touch with the National Office.
Perth Cathedral, St. Ninian’s is the first Anglican cathedral in Britain to be built since the Reformation. Designed by the noted Victorian architect William Butterfield, with fine architecture and stained glass, it was founded in 1850 to serve as the seat of the Bishop of St. Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane. Named after St. Ninian, who introduced Christianity to Scotland in AD397.
It is a 10-15 minute walk from the Railway Station and Bus Station. There is paid street parking within easy reach of the cathedral, but with a maximum of four hours; longer stay car parks are on the South Inch and Kinnoull Street. There is a ramped entrance suitable for wheelchairs in the courtyard at the back of the cathedral.
