Colinton: a rural idyll transformed?

Once a small rural village surrounded by large country estates, Colinton became home to paper and grain mills during the industrial revolution.  But as the industries declined and the railway arrived, the village was transformed with a rich variety of villas and cottages.  This walk celebrates this charming place, which still retains its own identity.
