Once more we will lunch at Aberdeen’s beautiful Advocates’ Library, and our speaker this year will be architect Julia Strickland, well-known member of the AHSS North East Group and Secretary of Aberdeen Civic Society. Julia’s career included a spell as assistant to John Lautner, twentieth-century Californian architect, who began his career as an apprentice to Frank Lloyd Wright. Julia will tell us about the man and his work.
