Dr Alistair Fair (Reader in Architectural History, University of Edinburgh) discusses the ways in which Scottish theatre architecture has been transformed since 1945, as well as its continuities, with reference to built and unbuilt new theatres as well as restoration projects, in Glasgow and beyond.
