This walk, led by Ian Gow, will take us through Trinity, which is one of Edinburgh’s earliest villa quarters. Later the railway made it an accessible suburb and developers were keen to enhance the area with attractive architecture in a variety of picturesque styles. We will also examine recent intensive redevelopment.
Meet at 10.00 at the Goldenacre traffic lights – the T-junction of Ferry Road and Inverlith Row/Montagu Terrace, in the quadrant walled recess at the former Gate Lodge. Please be aware that this will be a long walk.
