Craigstoun Castle (1604-07) built by John Urquhart of Craigfintry, is a Scots Renaissance house in Turriff, Aberdeenshire. It was extended by William Adam who added its wings and laid out the gardens between 1733 and 1734, and then extended by John Smith in 1838. The interior features numerous wood carvings dating back to the seventeenth century as well as antique furnishings and detailing.
Cost: £12, to include tea.
