Coronavirus update: Strathclyde Group Cancels Summer Programme of Activities
Read here the statement from the Chairman of Strathclyde Group, Iain Wotherspoon.
At this time of year, we would normally be sending out information about our Summer Study Tours. Unfortunately, this is not a normal year, and the implications of the coronavirus are wide-ranging and fast-moving, with advice from the Governments being updated daily.
The Strathclyde Committee has, therefore, reluctantly decided that the most responsible action to take is to cancel our planned summer programme. Some of you may know that the National Study Tour has also been cancelled.
We very much regret this situation, but your safety and health must be our primary concern.
We are in touch with the many venues that we had booked for this year, and hope that we can re-instate the programme next year.
The cancellations also cover the AGM, which was due to take place in June. The Treasurer’s Report and other papers will be circulated electronically or by post at the due time for your information.
With our best wishes to you all.
Chairman, Strathclyde Group
